Today, due to a combination of a) the absence of my 'blog photographer boyfriend' (Ben is at a conference) and b) the shocking weather, I bring you my first indoor outfit post...or should I say indoor jewellery post. 

I've never been a big hoarder of jewellery... well of any accessories as a matter of fact. I tend to go through sporadic bouts of jewellery accumulation (such as the growth of my ring collection a few months ago) but then manage to overlook accessories for months at a time. I have such a love/hate relationship with accessories, which I think has to do with the question of quality vs. quantity. Jewellery can be so expensive, but I find a high price point does not always ensure quality and nothing is more annoying than buying things that break or tarnish almost immediately. I am yet to work out whether mowing through large quantities of cheap accessories works out to be more or less cost effective than buying more expensive pieces less often.

I think for the moment I am going to endeavour to hover somewhere between these two frustrating extremes and make purchases like this necklace that I got today from Quick Brown Fox in Brunswick st. At an inexpensive $25 who knows how long it will last? Hopefully longer than the average low quality piece (ah-hem diva), but if it doesn't at least it didn't break the bank.
