Welcome To Koalafornia

Hey Guys!

I know it has been a very very long time since my last post and for that I apologise...I promise I will explain!

In early January I made the decision to pack up my life and leave Australia to travel the world and work as a model wherever I went. I managed to streamline my belongings down to fit into a single suitcase and left on January 9th for America, with only a one way ticket from Sydney to Los Angeles to New York to Paris, with the journey set to finish in Paris around mid-June. I basically had no plans but I knew I wanted to travel to the USA and then on to Europe (as I have a british passport) and I figured that would give me enough time to soul search and work out where I wanted to be and what I wanted to do.

I very badly wanted to continue to blog my adventures but I just felt that the experience was one that I wanted to have alone as I left Sydney with many things that I wanted to sort out personally.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I travelled...A lot.
After arriving in Los Angeles I met my now boyfriend and roommate within two weeks of being there and my planned two weeks-month in LA turned into two and a half months. I mainly stayed in Los Angeles in that time but I also travelled to other parts of the US for work - San Francisco, Big Sur, Seattle, Las Vegas just to name a few.

From there I went to NY for a few weeks (whilst also travelling back and forth to LA for jobs) before heading on to Paris before travelling back to NY for a job. I then continued to travel around Europe, starting my journey at Iceland's picturesque 'Blue Lagoon' before moving from Paris to Barcelona, Spain for a few weeks and then continuing on to Milan in Italy for a month. Whilst in Italy I also travelled to Cannes for the Film Festival before heading back to Paris for a few weeks. Although I met a tonne of amazing people while in Europe and had a great time; my heart was still in America so in mid-june I made the decision to move back to the States on a more permanent schedule.

I have been back now for four months and I couldn't be happier. In the past few months I have travelled to Chicago and Jackson Hole, Wyoming as well as to Cancun in Mexico. I am loving making a home for myself in LA and I can't wait to continue my travels once I am settled here.

I have decided to start blogging again as I am finally in a position where I have a home (the first permanent home I have had since I left my family home two years ago) and the time seems right to recommence documenting my life, travels and style aesthetic.
Which leads me to my next point!

WELCOME TO KOALAFORNIA!

What do you get when you take an Australian (henceforth referred to as a koala) and transplant her to sunny California, USA?
A Koalafornian is what!

Please check out my new blog and follow me on bloglovin so I can reconnect with you all! Still the same old me...just with different clothes, a different vision and from a new part of the world.

I would love for you all to come on a journey with me as I muddle my way through making a life for myself in America!

THE KOALAFORNIAN x
