Petrol

Photos By Ben

(One Teaspoon Jumpsuit in Petrol, House of Harlow 1960 Chantal Sunglasses, Zara Heels, American Apparel Bra, Vintage Leather Belt)

Put simply, when its hot out, there is nothing better than a barely-there floaty mega-short jumpsuit. This new moto of mine is one hundred percent responsible for the acquisition and integration of numerous one teaspoon jumpsuits into my summer wardrobe. This particular number is the most recent addition which, along with being ridiculously light and cooling, is also in this super awesome shade of bluey-green also known as petrol. What an out there and yet scarily appropriate name for such a hue. I think I am in love.

Scuba

Photos By Ben

(H&M Scuba Peplum Top , Kookai Tube Skirt, Zara Heels, House of Harlow 1960 'Chantal' Sunglasses, Quick Brown Fox Necklace and Vintage Bag.)

I bought this scuba peplum top a few months ago while i was in Tokyo and as shameful as it is to admit, I have never worn it. I think the whole concept of the peplum feels a little too girly for me however after forcing myself to wear it I could see how a peplum can be appropriate for many situations.
These House of Harlow 'Chantal' Sunglasses are a new favourite of mine and have proven to be the perfect accessory in this hot summery weather.

Jelly

Photos By Ben

(Topshop Boutique Silk Cami, Vintage Circle Skirt, Topshop Jelly Sandals, Ray-Bans, Revlon Lipstick in Rasberry Bite.)

So... Topshop has opened in sydney; cue horrendous lines and terribly overpriced stock but with that being said I did find a few things I liked (and could justify buying in store and not online.)

Firstly, I am in love with Jelly sandals all over again. I got my first pair at the grand old age of 8 and they were clear with gold sparkles. I was obsessed....and it turns out I still am. I am still waiting for these to come back in stock in my size but I figured that these Topshop ones would do in the meantime.

I also got this blue silk cami which has the sweetest little flowers on it. I am fairly happy with these garments but I don't think ill be going back to Topshop for a little while as it is definitely not worth the hype.

Nothing Compares

Photos By Ben

(Somedays Lovin' crop, Vintage leather Skirt, Vintage Leather Bag from C's Flashback in Newtown, Topshop Wynna Pony Wedges, Sass and Bide 'Kiss Life' Bracelet, Quick Brown Fox Spiked Necklace.)

Somedays you just don't give a ____ or so say the kids at Somedays Lovin' and wearing this top I just couldn't agree more. I am loving the 90's vibe which has yet again been re-incarnated and re-appropriated in many of the shows this season (hello Phillip Lim). So I decided to pull together a 90's inspired look on a budget. Tough leather meets girly tailoring and a retro pair of Ray-bans pulls the whole thing together. The look is minimalist, capiche?

Sweet Love

Photos By Ben

This one teaspoon playsuit is my newest obesession. Like most other things one teaspoon, this little number with its boxy drape, short hemline and plunging neckline, achieves perfect balance between prairie girl innocence and a more sophisticated state of undress. It's super comfortable and so loose and floaty you feel as if you are wearing nothing at all. Perfect.

Thermals

Photos by Ben
(Ben's old Thermal Top, H&M Bikini Bottoms, Ray-Bans and My Friend Mike's Old Ripcurl Cap)

I have just spent the past little while camping with ben and a few friends at Dawson's river just out of Taree, which for those of you who don't know, is a township 4 hours from Sydney on NSW's mid north coast. I didn't pack much and spent three days without any makeup and very limited styling options however I had an absolutely amazing time.

Cue the explanation for my rather bizarre outfit...

I have been desperately in love with Alexander Wang's Mock Neck Thermal Top, but can't justify the purchase coming into summer. So in lieu of this A. wang beauty, I give you my boyfriend's old thermal top from about 7 years ago which we discovered when packing for our camping expedition. We took these photos on the way back from a dip in the river near our camping grounds in Taree and due to an absence of styling options, my friend Mike rather kindly lent me his cap. Let's call it sporty-chic? or at a push sporty-luxe? In all seriousness though, I kinda love this top, It is perfectly 90's and a rather brilliant blue.
