I am finally in Melbourne after a ridiculously long (12 hour) drive, which I did all by myself yesterday!
After leaving at 5am I had my first rest break in a random field at sunrise for outfit photos... but more of that tomorrow.
It is so nice to be back in Melbourne, this city has a kind of quaint and antiquated charm that I miss whenever I go home to Sydney. For instance, my family's new abode is a renovated old Bulla Cream factory, just a ten minute drive from the CBD, which is right on the horse drawn cart route. The last thing I heard last night, and the first thing I heard this morning, was the clip-clop of hooves on the cobblestones. Although the weather isn't abominable (it isn't pouring with rain- well not at the moment at least) it's still freezing cold and copious layering is a necessity, but hopefully I will be able to take some good outfit posts none-the-less.
For now, here is my outfit from the other day, kindly photographed by Ben before I left. I bought this insight51 shirt online from General pants last week. It's a new favourite of mine and keeps my predominately black winter wardrobe in check, but I guess since i'm in Melbourne this week, I have a pretty good excuse to don the all-black uniform and to do away with colour entirely.
Yeah that is a great print for basics :) looking so pretty abd I like the second picture. I think you & Ven make your own regular fashion editorials haha you are just too good!

Catherine.
Cannot believe you look this gorgeous while driving! I always just wear comfy clothes, and end up unbuttoning them hahaha.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fantastic shirt - simplle, but very elegant. Love the French vibe of it. & beyond jealous of those leatherette pants. They look amazing on you, and I bet they go perfectly with everything! Definitely need a pair of those.
Is Melbourne an all-black wearing place? Funny - I never picture it like that.
Great outfit - gorgeous photos. Ben must love being your go-to photog : )

Haha, lets blame it on my confusing and convoluted writing style!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty shirt and I love the contrast of it with the leather and edgy shoes.
ReplyDeleteI always thought Sydney was the black wearing capital haha I guess I need to visit again. Perhaps I have just been hanging in the more colourful parts of Melbourne.
