Mixed Bag

This past week has been wonderfully relaxing (aside from a bug which left me bedridden and briefly incapacitated). It's been great enjoying the last few rays of the summer sun and catching up with all the amazing people in my life. Have a great weekend.

Last week we went to one of our local parks for a picnic. To say it wasn't very good picnic weather would be a gross understatement. With crunchy brown leaves a blowing, and clouds a brewing, its clear that autumn is setting in. Still the windy cold atmosphere set the mood for a broody outfit post. This new rag and bone shirt is a winner as it is thick enough for winter warmth yet great with skirts on (slightly warmer) autumn days. And yes, those are goosebumps - it was cold ok - my rebellion parka was ever present just outside of the frame!

White is definitely trending at MBFW Australia this year! The universe is telling me that my fears regarding white garments and the potential for stains are to be ignored. Note to self buy a sheer white button down tonight. Anyway back to fashion week...Arguably the most successfully executed all white looks came from Bec and Bridge this season which when paired with wet look tousled hair and on trend dainty open toed sandals (oh so classy) made quite an impact. I desperately want a pair of these Gail Sorronda Jelly Flatforms however after going to the gail fitting and trying on a pair I know how ill they suit me, alas such a shame.

So fashion week has rolled around once again and this year I am modelling in a few shows, the first of which was the colourful and eclectic camilla show held yesterday at the tent. Here are a few snapshots of my relatively relaxing day (compared to the hectic schedules of fellow chic girls Montana, Kaila, Ollie and Rachel who darted from show to show braving copious quantities of shampoo, hairspray and makeup remover). Still holding onto my dream of meeting Rumi Neely (of fashion toast), hopefully that dream will be realised tomorrow! Stay tuned and follow me on Instagram (annacrysell) for a piece of the action at the An Ode To No One show kicking of at 7pm tomorrow.

Daybreak

Since statement pants have become such a trend in recent months, I have decided to put aside my monochromatic preferences to embrace these H&M pants, which I purchased while living in tokyo a few months ago. I also acquired this creamy fawn coloured knit in tokyo and it has since become a wardrobe staple. Decided we had a few moments to squeeze in an outfit post before breakfast at the picturesque Balmoral beach.
